New compostables project now underway!We are delighted to announce the start of our new research project – Compostable Plastics: Unlocking Existing Barriers to Systems Change. This new project aims to uncover the behavioural, policy, design and engineering barriers to effective collection, sorting and processing of these materials industrially.

Hub researchers win commission for public art projectCharnett Chau and Danielle Purkiss from the UCL Plastic Waste Innovation Hub, together with artist Sarah Carne, have been awarded £15,000 by UCL Culture to participate in Trellis: Public Art 2020-21.
