Perspectives on a better future for plastics

Join us at Nunnery Gallery at Bow Arts on Thursday 18 July, from 7pm onwards, for an informative and frank discussion on the current state of plastics and the different possibilities for its future sustainability. The event is part of Nunnery Gallery's ongoing research project Raw Materials that delves into the history of the Lea River Valley through the lens of different materials.

Professor Mark Miodownik, the Hub's lead academic, will give an overview of research topics including molecular recycling, bio-derived polymers, the plastic life-cycle and our own changing behaviour towards materials.

With the opportunity to ask questions, this event is a chance to get your plastics facts straight and help join the movement of change to tackle the growing problem of plastic waste.
